Delisa Cox
Director of Women's Ministries

Born and raised in a pastor’s home, Delisa has always had a passion for ministry. At the age of 14, she began to actively pursue ministry. She began teaching Sunday School and by the time she was 16, she started a bus route. By the age of 18, she married the love of her life, Kevin Cox – and just three short months later, they accepted pastorate of their first church – where she found herself in a whole new role of leadership, a young pastor’s wife. She and her husband pastored for 18 years (6 years in Florida and 12 years in Louisiana) before assuming leadership roles in their district. As a young adult, Delisa furthered education at Southeastern Louisiana University.
Delisa was elected in 1997 as Louisiana Women’s Ministries President and still serves in that capacity. Under her leadership, this department has continued to boldly and uniquely minister to the needs of women, through conferences and seminars. This ministry also continues to reach out to the world through record-breaking Mothers Memorial Missions offerings. Delisa loves teaching Bible Studies. She often says, “There is no greater feeling on earth than the feeling that comes when you have the opportunity… and you seize it… to give Jesus to a hungry soul.”
Her husband served as Louisiana District Secretary for seven years prior to being elected in April 2005 as the Louisiana District Superintendent. Her two sons, Andrew and Stephen, are a continual source of love, life and laughter in her life. She currently resides with her family in Tioga, Louisiana.
